A WordPress dashboard mid-rescue, security plugin running

Hacked WordPress, back online.

You wake up to a defaced homepage or a "your site is suspicious" warning in Chrome. I open the file system, find the backdoor, patch the plugin that let it in. Most rescues ship within 24 hours of the call because every hour the site is down costs you sales and search ranking.

After the cleanup I set up monitoring so the next attempt sends an alert instead of a ransom note. Daily off-site backups. Brute-force lockdown. You can roll back to a known-good state with one click if anything ever slips through again.
