What I'm looking for.

Projects where flat-rate makes sense because the scope is real. Clients who want a person on the other end of the email, not an account manager forwarding messages. Work that's actual engineering: payments, security, performance, data, sites that need to hold up under traffic.

I do my best work with founders, owner-operators, and lean teams who can make a decision without scheduling a meeting about it. If you've got a clear picture of what you want and a real budget for it, we'll get along.

PASS

What I probably won't take.

Rush jobs without a real budget. "Can you do it by Friday for $300" is not a project, it's a shape of stress nobody wants. I'll politely point you toward a freelancer marketplace where that math sometimes works.

Projects that need five stakeholders to approve a button color. I'm one engineer; I can't out-vote a committee, and I won't pretend I can. Anything that requires me to learn a brand-new platform from zero on the client's dime, where I can't honestly tell you I'd be the best person for the job.
