Every contact, quote or booking form on your published site sends an email to the address you published with. It works on the free plan too.
What the email looks like
- From: Pixel Pulse, noreply@pixelpulsegroup.com.
- Subject: "New message from your website (Your Business)". The word changes with the form (booking, estimate), so you can tell them apart.
- Body: what the visitor typed, one line per field, and the page they sent it from.
- Reply-to: the visitor's email, when they left one, so Reply in your mail app goes to them, not to us. If they left only a phone number, the email says so.
The first time
Check spam. Mail from a new sender often lands there once. Mark it "not spam" and add noreply@pixelpulsegroup.com to your contacts.
Limits
To keep bots from filling your inbox, a single visitor can send 6 messages an hour, and a site receives at most 80 messages a day. Past that the visitor sees "Too many messages right now. Call or email the business directly." Real customers almost never hit this; if you do, contact us.
A hidden field that only bots fill in drops their submissions without an email.
Screens that never send
The checkout, login, donation and payment screens on the designs are previews: on your published site they show a note saying so and send nothing. The catalog demos and the editor preview send nothing either. Only the contact-style forms on your published site send email.
We do not store messages
The message goes from the visitor to your inbox. We do not store messages; our email provider keeps a delivery log for a short time. If a message is not in your inbox or spam, contact us with the date and time and we will look.
