The Origin
From a Saturday Stall to a Regional Collective
Morrow Field started as a Saturday morning market stall in Columbus. We still design in our south Parsons Avenue workshop and make limited production runs with independent potteries in Athens and a heritage flax mill in Holmes County. We make small batches on purpose—when a kiln run sells out, we wait for the next firing rather than cutting corners.
In an era of mass-manufactured plastic gadgets designed to be replaced every eighteen months, we choose the deliberate path. We work with materials that develop a richer patina with age: stoneware clay that warms in your palm, washed flax that softens with every load of laundry, and solid maple that drinks up mineral oil.
Every piece is made for real kitchens. Our ceramics are fully vitrified and safe for the dishwasher. Our linen towels have heavy selvedges that hold up to daily pan drying. Our wooden trays catch olive oil rings without warping.

150-Mile Regional Supply Chain
We source clays, wood, and weaving labor within 150 miles of Columbus. Keeping production regional lowers carbon transit and builds direct relationships with individual craftspeople.
Small Kiln Batches Over Warehouses
We fire 40 to 60 pieces per batch. If a glaze sells out, we wait for the next firing rather than cutting corners with overseas industrial factories.
Heirloom Utility & Honesty
Our objects are designed for daily use—dishwasher safe, microwave friendly, and built from sturdy thick-walled materials meant to last for decades of quiet mornings.
Fair Producer Compensation
We pay our partner potteries and weavers their full requested rates upfront, ensuring independent studio artists can maintain sustainable livelihoods.

Friday Studio Open Hours
Every Friday from 11am to 4pm, our front workshop door is open to the public. You can inspect glaze test samples, pick up online orders with zero shipping fees, or browse limited “seconds” with minor cosmetic iron speckles at friendly studio pricing.
