We met in 2021 when Marcus asked Elena for a phone charger at an outdoor film screening in Austin. One long walk home turned into breakfast the next morning, then a shared apartment, and eventually a cross-country road trip with a temperamental cooler. Savannah is where both of our extended families first met for a Thanksgiving weekend, so it felt natural to bring everyone back beneath the live oaks to start our next chapter together.
