Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about arriving, bread freshness, sourdough digestion, and ordering.
What time do you sell out of bread?
On weekdays, our loaves are well stocked through 1:00 PM. On weekends, we recommend ordering online early!
What time do you usually sell out of bread and croissants?
On weekdays, our country loaves and morning pastries are well stocked through 1:00 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, popular items like cardamom buns and baguettes often sell out by 11:30 AM. We recommend ordering online for same-day pickup or arriving early!
How far in advance do I need to order a custom cake?
We require a minimum of 72 hours (3 business days) notice for standard 6", 8", and 10" celebration cakes. For tiered wedding cakes or dessert catering, we recommend booking 3 to 6 weeks in advance to reserve your event date and consultation.
Is your sourdough suitable for gluten-sensitive diets or celiac disease?
Our breads are made from wheat and rye flours and contain gluten. While our 36-hour cold wild fermentation naturally ferments the dough, all our breads contain wheat gluten and are NOT suitable for people with celiac disease or severe wheat allergies.
How should I store my sourdough bread to keep it fresh?
Keep the loaf cut-side down on a wooden cutting board or in a paper bag at room temperature for the first 3 days. Never store artisan bread in the refrigerator, as cold air stales the crumb rapidly. For long-term storage, slice the loaf and freeze it in an airtight bag; pop slices directly into the toaster!
Do you offer wholesale bread for restaurants and cafés?
Yes! We supply fresh daily loaves, brioche buns, and baguettes to select culinary partners across the area. Fill out the wholesale inquiry form on our Visit page to request a sample box and catalog.
Can I pick up my online order curbside?
Yes. When placing your order online, select 'Curbside Pickup' and include your vehicle details in order notes. Call our desk at (213) 555-0188 when you pull up.
