A Counterweight to the Online Media Churn
The Inland Almanac was founded in 2021 to provide a patient, beautifully printed counterweight to the churn of daily online media. We publish four seasonal print folios per year and weekly digital essays, edited with care and supported entirely by readers.
We believe the stories that matter most—how neighborhoods survive deindustrialization, how watersheds recover from centuries of canal building, how small family businesses endure across generations—cannot be told in 280 characters or optimized for advertising clicks.
